The hippest trip in American has pulled the plug on its annual awards show. Reuters Life is reporting that the Soul Train Music Awards has been cancelled without explanation. The brainchild of former Chicago DJ Don Cornelius, “Soul Train” was due to celebrate its 22nd award show this year, but a spokeswoman for the program said the show would not go ahead as planned. At last year’s event in Pasadena, many of the winners did not bother to attend, including such A-listers as Beyonce Knowles, Mary J. Blige, John Legend, and Gnarls Barkley. “Soul Train,” meanwhile, ended its historic run in 2006. It was distributed by Tribune Entertainment, which exited the syndication business when billionaire Sam Zell took its Tribune Company parent private late last year in a highly leveraged deal. “Soul Train” has been dying a very slow death for a few years now and since BET rise the show has not meant, what it once did in the past to the music industry. It looks like it is over and the train has pulled into the gate for a final stop.
It seems that 72 year-old, creator and longtime host of the show is taking his frustration out on his wife. Now he is too damn old and sick to try and beat anyone, but it did not stop him from going upside his wife head. The police was called out to the 12000 block of Mullhodland Drive after getting a call form a woman reporting a domestic assult. Don’s wife did not sustain injuries that would cause her to have needed to go to the hospital (mostly it hurt his old ass more than her anyway). The old man was taken to jail and was not released until after 5:00 am the following morning. Additionally, he was required to post $50,000 in bail. You have officially been choked by the Bow Tie
